Review
Alice, a protagonist from previous Resident Evil movie stayed alive from the zombie apocalypse what started on Raccoon City. On this movie she continues her journey and tries to get away from Raccoon City. Umbrella Corporation have a plan to destroy whole city and all the proof what they have done using nuclear bomb so there is not too much time to waste. Alice is not the only survival on that city so she and some other people join their forces and try to find a way out before it is too late.
Previous Resident Evil had different director (Paul W. S. Anderson), but even changing the director it didn't made a difference for better, maybe it changed things even worse. This movie had all the same issues than previous one had.
On previous Resident Evil I hated how action scenes were edited with chop-chop style what is just annoying to watch because it is many times impossible to even follow who is beating who or what is happening. Sadly this movie is following the same style and from time to time it felt that it could be even more confusing than previous one was on action scenes.
I was pleasently surprised that there was not too much jump scares, but still there was couple. As excepted they were not scary but mostly just annoying and cliché when those were used.
This is an action movie, I get it, but even on action movies there should be a little more time for breathing and story building. Of course it was not action all the time, but still there was too much action that in the end action scenes started to feel boring and meaningless.
There were good things in this movie as well. I don't find anything bad to say about the acting, effects were looking mostly good and color usage especially in dark scenes was looking nice. Also the sounds was made very well so there is of course good things in this movie also.
Even with good things, this is mostly just boring movie. Not because of its story what was mostly ok, but mostly because of the terrible editing style what made the movie annoying to watch.
