This is the classic and for me it is one of those albums where I always seem to return. When I had found "more real" metal music I started to listen Dark Tranquillity not long after that. Albums what I listened back then were mostly this Haven and also Damage Done. I can't remember when I have bought this CD, but it has been with me years.

Haven was and still is a fresh new direction for swedish melodic death band Dark Tranquillity. Production is excellent, songs are catchy and they have nice balance between metal and more pop like elements. After listening this long time and after listening lots of other metal bands as well this does not feel very heavy anymore in many ways, but it still captures the essence of metal. Songs have nice riffs and the atmosphere is there. It is still just a great album from beginning to end and it still is worth listening even on 2023. A timeless classic for me.
