Review

A cop who have broken up with his wife struggles with his life. He stalks his wife when she is running in the park and he uses too much alcohol. His boss tells him to stop that kind of behaviour and he sends this man to figure out what happened to young woman who have disappeared. When he is investigating the case he will find something what he was not excepting at all - a world of vampires. He gets bitten by a master vampire and he is in a risk to turn to vampire himself as well. His soon-to-be ex-wife have written many books about vampires so he still try to contact her. She does believe his words at first, but when she sees how he is not visible on the mirror her viewpoint changes and she promises to help him. Together they go for a journey to kill a master vampire so he wouldn't turn to vampire as well.

I have seen this movie multiple times through the years and I still like this. It is not the perfect movie even on its own genre, but it still have nice and unique ideas in its story. In this movie vampires are not visible to all people all the time and that leads to disbelieve of their existence even more. This also leads people to think about their mental sanity - do they see things that are not real, or do they see the truth but others not? I find this interesting concept and it would be nice to see in other vampire movies as well.

On production level this is quite average. Masks of the vampires are quite comical and it makes this movie look like a small budget movie, but it does not matter. I have no issues with small budget movies so it was not an issue for me.

All in all I still like this movie even with all its flaws.
