Review
There is a magician and assistants who are performing magic tricks on a stage. Once the trick goes terribly wrong and that have catastrophical consequences. Later assistants of the magician both becomes great magicians themselves but they have competition going on all the time who is the best magician. Competition takes unhealthy tracks and it will leads to suffering for both of them as well as some of their closest people.
This was interesting movie with very surprising ending. Story was good and the way how it was shown was interesting. Nolan have done many great movies and this is no exception.
I liked how in this movie the wish for the knowledge and to be something great grows to unhealthy obsession. It somehow reminds me about the story of Faust in some sense. Also this reminded me on some levels about the movie The Illusionist what is not a bad thing at all since they are not copies of each others, but they both capture well the atmosphere of the magicians life.
This was worth the watch.
