Review
An interesting story of the trial of the Joan of Arc and her death in the hands of church.
This is a silent movie, but I watched this on Criterion Collection DVD where there was "Voices of Light" soundtrack playing. At least with that soundtrack this movie was amazing and it had emotion. Lots of close-ups, interesting camera usage and emotional facial expressions of main characters shows how little it is needed to create a masterpiece in cinematography if those elements are used well like in this movie.
Personally my history knowledge is quite bad so I didn't had much knowledge and memories about what Joan of Arc was famous for, but after this movie I had to check what she did. It seems to be a good for me to look for this kind of movies to give me more interest to take a look historical persons and events.
For me this movie felt like a masterpiece what is worth watching multiple times.
