Review
Confusing. That would probably best describe my experience about this movie. I had seen this once previously about five years ago or so but I didn't had much memories about this. On this second watch it does not surprise me since the movie is somehow confusing. It is kind of vampire movie, but in the end it is not since the persons who were thought to be vampire were not vampires at all but instead they were mutants.
There is a mysterious lady who some people thinks to be a vampire. She have a strange blood type that she could live forever and some people want to find another one so these vampire could mate and others could find the way to live forever as well. Things does not go as excepted since a young man finds about these strange happenings on a castle where this lady is kept but also a father of this young man is somehow related to these things. There are more persons involved in shady things than just this woman, strange cult and father of this young man. A lady who was thought to be a vampire is not a vampire after all and there are quite many questions unanswered in the end.
Even that this movie is confusing it is interesting to watch. I like especially the slow pacing of the movie. It is not the best movie from Rollins, but still it is watchable couple of times at least. Surely this is not for everyone and if you don't like 70's movies, vampire movies or slow paced confusing films then this is safe to skip.
