Review

A research team is going deep to the sea, deeper than what have been thought to be even possible before. On the deep they will find a prehistoric shark, Meg, what causes deaths to some of the crew members. It also manages to escape from its original living space because of this research team and how they affected the sea temperature leading a possible path for a shark to escape. When Meg is escaped it causes a big threat to other people as well.

There is many things wrong in this movie. Biggest annoyances probably are lack of focus and lack of emotion. There is too many things added to this story so nothing had time to grow and make imporession to the viewer of this fim. There is escape missions, there is romance, there is fight against the shark and also some kind of learnings of life. Just too much stuff so the main focus is lost and most of the elements feels just naive and cliché.

Another big complain is the lack of emotion. People are in danger, but they does not show much of panic or fear. People die and there is not much of sorrow and sadness from their friends. Things just happen and nobody seem to have genuine emotional response to anything. It feels just shallow.

There is still good elements on this movie of course as well. CGI and audio side was made well. CGI was on many places very good and I find it enjoyable to view.

All in all, this movie is not very good. It have some entertainment value and I can watch this another time as well if somebody wants to see it on my place with me, but still it is not very good.
