Review

A hacker who is known with name Neo wants to find the truth of the world around him and he is searching a man called Morpheus who might know what Neo wants to know. He will find Morpheus who gives him possibility to select if he wants to kno the truth or live in a dream, in a Matrix what he have always thought to be the real life. When Neo escapes from Matrix he will find out that there is a war between AI robots and human race and Neo might be the one who will set humankind free from the slavery of machines.

This is a movie what I have seen multiple times and I have liked it and still like it. Story is something unique at least for a sci-fi movie what is made in Hollywood. There is lots of philosphical questions as well as lots of Biblical references. For example, the Neo is an anagram of the One, a man who is going to save humanity from the slavery. It still have eastern philosphical and religious themes in its story so it is interesting story what blends religous and philosophical themes in a interesting sci-fi what also paints the narrative of the dangers of AI.

Dangers of the AI, robots or computers in general is not anything new in movies of course. We have seen that kind of themes in Terminator and Blade for example, but it is still very fascinating theme in many ways. It somehow reflects the reality what many people might think about the AI that it is a threat to humanity, in a form or another. Year 2023 was a big breakthrough for AI for general public and year 2024 have started strong in the world of AI development so the themes of Matrix is more relevant than ever before.

I like this movie. It is a classic in its own genre and for a reason.
