Review

A young policeman is sent to small town called Sleepy Hollow to investigate mysterious death cases where bodies are decpitated but heads are lost. There is a legend that there is a headless horse rider who is from hell and who will kill these people and steal their heads, but this police does not accept this kind of overnatural explanation. When he investigate the case he can witness things he did not believed when others told about those things.

I have seen this movie at least once or probably couple of times about 20 years ago. I did not had much of memories except some parts, but still this was a very nice movie. I love the visual style what Tim Burton have in lots of his movies and Sleepy Hollow is not an exceptation. This kind of dark atmopshere surrounded with mystics is something what I personally just love and Tim Burton is master in this gothical visual storytelling.

Story is interesting, CGI is good except on some parts it felt a little bit too much, acting works well and everything just works. Pacing is good and the way how camera is used builts a mysterical atmosphere very well since too much not is shown too early.

All in all, this is a great movie on its own genre.
