Review
Raccoon City is a place where does not live much people anymore. Things starts to get strange and people start to turning zombies. Some conspiracy theorists claim that Umbrella Corporation is doing secret testings there. Citizens of the town don't know it and they do not know that Umbrella Corporation is going to destroy that town soon. Some people who does not turn to zombies tries to find their way out of that town before it is going to be destroyed.
This movie is totally different than previous Resident Evil -movies, so they are previous only that sense that they share the common name and common theme but not much else. Actors and characters are different and story is different so there is no any kind of connection between this and them so this can be seen as a stand alone title.
Sadly this movie is not very good. Its best aspect comes from well made CGI and visual effects in general and I don't find anything bad to say about its audio either. These elements does not help to make this movie worth watching tho.
Story is quite boring. Characters are meaningless and no one have any depth so it does not matter what happens to them. There is just not emotion. There are some moments what probably tried to made viewer feel something but it just didn't deliver.
There was also some kind of protagonist, but she had no charisma and her role was not big enough that she would have felt more meaningful so she ends up being like everybody else - meaningless character whose destiny does not make you feel anything. If she die, if she survive, who cares.
Jumpscares were mostly cliché and annyoing. Editing was mostly watchable and only one scene was edited terribly and it is impossible to say what happened. Otherwise editing was more relaxed and well made so it was also mostly good thing.
When I think this movie, it is probably a movie what I will forget to even seen within a year. It is just worse than a mediocre movie since it is so boring and mediocre and easy to forget.
