Review
A young woman, Mulan, does not fit to the role what is excepted from her. She should be a traditional woman who would bring glory to her family via marriage but she does not seem to be very good at being traditional woman. There is a war and Mulans father should go there, but Mulan steals his invitation letter and his armor at night and joins the army herself. She will serve in the army long time without nobody knowing that she is a woman and she will fight well in the battle where she will save others. Later others will find out the truth that she is not the man called Ping but instead she is a woman called Mulan. She will be left out from army but later she will return one more time to save the emperor and the whole China from the huns.
Previously I have seen only the acted movie version of Mulan so it was interesting to see how faithful it is to this original animated movie version. The story is very similar but there is lots of differences. Still the main character have same kind of charasteristic and she will have an interesting conflict between the excpectations of the tradition and her individualistic role what does not quite fit to the role of a woman.
I liked this movie. It had funny humour, it was drawn well, story is well made and it was a pleasure to watch.
