Review
A man, Paolo, meets a woman Djuna on a video store at night. They get to know each other and soon Paolo will find out that Djuna is not a ordinary woman but a vampire. He does not care and soon Djuna will make him vampire as well so they can live on their lives together in darkness. Things get more complicated when the Djunas sister Mimi arrives to house where they are living. Mimi is a reckless and dangerous vampire who does not understand to be careful in her actions and she will cause chaos around her because she tempts others to do things what they should not do.
I have seen this movie couple of times and I have always liked it. Previously I have thought that this is good, better than average movie but after this watch I think this is much more. It is good and better than average movie in general, surely, but on genre of vampire movies I think this is a masterpiece.
The actress of Djuna (Joséphine de La Baume) makes great performance on this movie. The way she can show the emotions of Djuna is just beautiful to watch and it is still one of my favourite actings in vampire movies. This can easily be seen on multiple scenes, but especially on the scene when she is locked to her bed and when she suffers from being a vampire instead of being a human.
Characters in this movie are interesting in general, but the Mimi is still on her own level. Her reckless, toxic and chaotic behaviour to all around her is interesting to watch. She feels like an opportunist who just enjoys to get what whatever she wants no matter the harm made to others neither the consequences which is the totally opposite what her sister Djuna is.
This movie is a must watch to all vampire movie lovers.
