King Kong

Review

There is a man who wants to create interesting movie. Finance people have no faith in his plans anymore so he escapes with films and camera and crew before police gets him so he can create his movie masterpiece. He have told others different story where they are going to film, but he really have a plan to find an uncharted place called Skull Island.

They arrive to Skull Island and soon they will find out that it is a place what should have left unfound by them since there are already people living who are hostile towards them. These humans are not their only threat since the whole island seems to be dangerous place where lots of prehistoric creatures are living. There is also a king of the forest, a huge monkey called Kong. Ann, the main star of the film finds out that Kong is not the way it first seems and it is instead protective and kind towards her. Sadly other members of the crew don't understand this and Kong gets captured by these men so it will end up to New York as a main star of the shows.

Extended edition of this movie which I saw was 3 hour 20 minutes long so it was exceptionally long movie. Even it was long, it didn't felt too long. It is well made movie, its story is good and it is built well, main character personalities are interesting and well acted and the whole movie is just great.

Only minus side comes from some CGI parts, especially when people were running with dinosaurus all around them. Somehow that CGI was feeling a little weird and didn't really felt correct and was too unrealistic look but in the end that is only a one small part of the movie so it did not bother too much.

I liked this movie and this is totally worth the watch.

The ending scene was somehow exceptionally memorable for me for reason or another - "It was beauty killed the beast".
