Review

A man is writing a book of Moby Dick, a white whale what he have heard stories about. He finds the only alive member of the Essex, the ship what met the Moby Dick what destroyed their ship and caused a death of many members of the crew. He hears the story of the survivor in its all cruel reality.

This was a fascinating movie. I have only heard about Moby Dick, but never had read it so I am not sure if this movie is faithful to the book or totally different. Whatever the case, this movie works very well.

There was interesting camera angles from time to time what was a nice surprise since those were used with good taste.

Story works, acting is good and it was nice to see that Chris Hemsworth and Tom Holland both are very capable actors and they could be doing much better roles than what they do in Marvel movies nowadays. I especilly liked how much better Tom Holland was acting in this movie than what I have used to see because of his roles in bad modern Spider-Man movies. Hopefully I will see his acting on other better movies as well in future.

All in all, this was an intersting story and it was well told in this movie.
