Review

A samurai arrives to the door of estate of Iyi Clan and tells that he wants to perform harakiri on their estate. They allow it, even this samurai have only bamboo swords and not real ones. It almost seems that he does not really want to perform harakiri, but they will make him to do so. Not long time later another samurai arrives with same intentions. Before his harakiri he will tell them a story of his life and how he knew the previous samurai who committed harakiri on their place.

This was a great movie. It had well written story and it was nicely paced. Story is somehow sad but realistic on some degree about tragedies of life. It will also take a stand about the honor and hypocrisy of men and their traditions.

Wort the watch multiple times.
