Review
American soldiers who are fighting in Afghanistan meets a strange man when that man get captured. There are rumours that he is not a normal human and when one soldier, Nat, gets closer to him he bites Nat. Nat kills that man, but later Nat starts to have strange symptoms. Eventually he turns to a vampire. Time passes and some soldiers retires but Nat joins to another gig where he gets killed or at least everybody thinks so. Later his wife and his ex captain Frost will find out that he is not dead, but he is a vampire who is killing people and sucking their blood.
Story is mostly ok, but it does not have enough focus from time to time. Some elements of the story feels like a filler without too much of meaning. For example the part when they talk about Frost and his art stealings or the part when he is painting naked female model, both feels irrelevant for the story point of view. Maybe those were meant to show what kind of man Frost is and what he is keen on, or maybe that painting scene was added just to show boobs for the sake of showing nudity of a beautiful woman. Whatever the reason, these scenes feels irrelevant for the story.
All in all this movie works for those who are open for the small budget vampire movies and who can adjust their exceptations correctly. If vampires are not your thing neither the small budget movies (or at least movies that feels like so) then this can not offer much enjoyment, but for me this was quite ok movie since I like vampire movies in general and I like B class movies as well. This is not the masterpiece, surely, but it is an average B class vampire flick with couple of visually stylish scenes.
